Yankees Force Decisive ALDS Game 5 in Cleveland
The Bronx Bombers were down 0-2 coming into Game 3 of the ALDS. They have now tied the series at 2 and head to Cleveland for the decisive Game 5; winner plays the Astros in the ALCS. This would be the Yankees' first ALCS appearance since being swept by the Detroit Tigers 5 years ago in the 2012 ALCS. A win for Cleveland would propel them to their second straight ALCS appearance.
All of this came after Greg Bird gave the Yankees the only run in Game 3 thanks to a solo shot home run. The Yanks then won Game 4 7-3 to get to where we are now. The starting pitchers for Game 5 are CC Sabathia in the Yankees and possible AL Cy Young finalist, Corey Kluber with the Indians.
This game will be another pitcher's duel, but the most important thing for both teams in winning this game is getting off to a fast start. The Yankees will play for the pennant if the get the bats going. The Indians will play for the pennant if Kluber's pitching and the Cleveland bullpen succeed.
